CDL CLASS A ROLL OFF DRIVERS — Vermont and Washington County, New York
Earth Waste & Metal is seeking to hire full time skilled Truck Drivers.

Truck Drivers are responsible for transporting Earth Waste and Metal materials. Truck Driving consists of local and/or long distance vehicle operations between locations, including loading/unloading and relocating trucks and or trailers on and between Earth Waste & Metal facilities in Vermont and New York State.
•Operate company owned and/or leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations, including the delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials.
•Inspect truck before departing to ensure everything mechanical and electrical is functioning properly, and that their cargo is secure.
•Comply with state, federal, and Earth Waste & Metal safety rules and regulations.
•Maintain all certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
•Maintain and protect all entrusted Earth Waste & Metal property. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
•Provide assistance with loading and unloading, which may require considerable use of arms, legs, and body to climb, lift, balance, walk, and squat.
•High school diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 5-years driving experience.
•Class-A CDL with clean driving history required.
•Must have Roll-off experience, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
•Knowledge of scrap metal recycling industry is a plus.
•Must operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
•Have the ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and customers ;as well as the ability to work independently.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Earth Waste & Metal is seeking to add a full time onsite mechanic to our team!
40+ hours per week, based out of our Castleton Yard.
We offer competitive wages $24-30/hour, health insurance, and paid time off.
•Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
•Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
•Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
•Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
•Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
•Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
•Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
•Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
•Keep logs of work; reports on issues; and maintains records of all mechanical equipment
•Proven experience as Mechanic
•Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
•Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
•Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
•Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability
•Comfortably lifts up to 50 pounds repeatedly
•Holds a valid state driver’s license

EQUIPMENT OPERATORS (seeking operators for 2 of our scrap yards in Morrisonville, NY, and Middlebury, VT)
Advanced machine operators at Earth Waste & Metal operate, drive, maneuver, and/or control the heavy machinery used to pick up or crush cars, bale metal and other materials, sheer metal, construct scrap metal roads, and Earth Waste and Metal deconstruction projects.
•Safely and efficiently operate the heavy machinery used in the daily operations of Earth Waste & Metal’s scrap metal yards.
•Drive levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as excavators, shears, and car crushers in order to load, unload, transport and stack materials.
•Position lifting devices under, over, or around materials; and properly secure materials for transport to designated areas.
•Properly sort, separate, and distribute various metal materials.
•Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
•Routinely inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors, problems or defects.
•Maintain high quality standards, and identifies and corrects defective processes
•Maintains a neat, orderly, and welcoming work place
•Performs all duties in conformance to the appropriate safety and security standards of Earth Waste & Metal, state, and federal requirements
•Comfortably lifts up to 50 pounds repeatedly
